LogCentre is a communication and transfer center for logistics that was founded on the basis of the German-Kazakh University / DKU (Almaty, Kazakhstan) as a joint initiative of DKU, OVGU Magdeburg and Fraunhofer IFF; with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany / BMBF.

LogCentre Mission: Networking of education and research with the practical area of ​​transport, storage and production logistics in Kazakhstan. Transfer of German logistics know-how to Kazakhstan.

The following are currently available for LogCentre:

  • a system for imitation and computer modeling of logistics and production processes;
  • a wide range of logistics business games (production logistics and supply chain management);
  • a logistics laboratory: physical intralogistics model equipped with RFID sensors;
  • SAP learning module.

The BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany) funded the LogCentre project from October 2014 to December 2016. Funding number: 01DK14016.
